Bed and Breakfast for People with Chronic Illness or Disabilities
Dear Friends:
I am writing to let you know of two special Bed and Breakfast programs for families living with a chronic illness or disability.

1) Patchwork Quilt Bed 'n Breakfast is a unique form of hospitality to families. It is for anyone but will be especially welcome to families feeling stressed, whether from caregiving or another source, bringing a child to the city to receive services such as inpatient or outpatient hospital care, experiencing social isolation or just seeking rest, recreation and good food (cooked by someone else!).
The accommodation is warm and friendly setting in central Vancouver close to major bus routes and hospitals. The fee of $39 per night for a couple includes a private bedroom with linens and towels and a hearty, healthy breakfast. (The cost is $20 for one parent.) The bathroom includes a full bathtub and shower and is shared with other guests. Your child's bed and breakfast costs $10 per night.
A special feature of this program is the offer of an individualized crafts and play session with the child or teenager, enabling the parent(s) to sleep in, to take a long bath, to spend time alone or together or to just unwind over a delicious breakfast of wholesome, home-made foods. This service is for any family of a child (0-15 years of age). Youth over 19 are also welcome to participate. Please note that parents must remain on the premises at all times.

2) Morning Glory Bed 'n Breakfast is a special low-cost option to adults living with a chronic illness or fatiguing disability. It is provided to ANYONE with a chronic illness or disability but will be especially welcome to people who are experiencing social isolation, need somewhere to stay while having a holiday or who are visiting the city to attend an inpatient or outpatient service. You will have a large, private and beautifully decorated bedroom with a brand new double bed, sheets and towels. The very clean bathroom has a full bathtub and shower. The rate is $20 per night per person includes a healthy breakfast of coffees, teas, juices, breads and muffins, ham, eggs and fresh fruit.
